For nearly 29 years, Yohan, better known as Mr. Tattoo, has dedicated his life to the art of tattooing. His journey has taken him across the country—from the South and Midwest to the West Coast and East Coast—building a reputation as a versatile artist capable of bringing virtually any idea to life. Before becoming a shop owner, he spent years as a freelance tattoo artist, working with clients from all walks of life and mastering a wide range of styles.

Known for his strong West Coast influence and adaptable approach, Mr. Tattoo specializes in black and grey work, fine line tattoos, cover-ups, custom designs, lettering, portraits, and large-scale projects. His philosophy is simple: if it can be imagined, it can be created. With decades of experience studying and producing artwork, he has developed the confidence and skill to tackle almost any project that comes through the door.

Since October 3, 2025, Yohan has proudly been the owner of Untamed Skin Tattoo, a shop built on creativity, quality, and community. Beyond tattooing, he is an artist in every sense of the word. From painting and graphic design to custom rugs, apparel, merchandise, and handcrafted creations, he enjoys building and creating with his hands. His passion for art doesn't stop at skin—it extends into everything he touches.

Based in Northern Wisconsin, I specialize in custom black & grey realism, dark surrealism, and gothic-inspired tattooing. My focus is creating bold, high-contrast tattoos that flow with the body, age well, and stand out for years to come.

Born and raised in the Twin Cities, Mark found a love for the arts at a young age. Shortly after high school he discovered a love for tattooing. Knowing that he was going to pursue a career in tattooing, he attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Sharpening his drawing and painting skills at MCAD also led to a passion for sculpture and furniture design.

Mark started tattooing in late 1994 and has not been able to get away from it. The ancient practice of marking one's body and empowering them with totems, memorials, decorations, and silliness appeals to him on a visceral level. He is drawn mostly to images of nature, yet loves traditional work too—both Americana and Asian styled traditional work.

He has recently moved to the Siren, Wisconsin area as his spirit is drawn to nature and the peace it provides. When he's not tattooing, you can find him in his garden, cooking maple syrup, or hunting.
